World Book Printing Paper (below)

China's rapid development of printing and printing paper production China's printing and printing paper, including letterpress paper, offset book paper, double-sided offset paper and lightweight coated paper, is an important raw material for printing books, textbooks and periodicals, its production and construction conditions, relations The development of books and periodicals printing industry and its prosperity.
After entering the 1980s, the shortage of supply of Book Printing paper and poor quality of paper caused the attention of the relevant state departments. In December 1986, the former State Economic Commission pointed out in the document “Accelerating the Development of China’s Printing and Equipment and Equipment Industry Certain Policy Measures”: “Paper is a prominent weak link. Fundamentally speaking, the papermaking industry’s technological transformation problem is not resolved. The technical transformation task of the printing industry cannot be completed.” Under the overall arrangement of the Printing and Technical Equipment Coordination Group of the State Economic Commission, the technological transformation projects of key paper printing paper mills such as Jincheng, Yueyang, and Minjiang were included in the “Printing Technology and Equipment Development Plan”. This not only speeds up the progress of the major paper printing and paper mills, but also drives a large number of paper mills to speed up the development of printing paper. In 1998, out of the total output of 2.32 million tons of printing paper in the country, about 73% of the book paper was suitable for offset printing. This opened up a new trend in the conversion of book printing paper, mainly consisting of convex paper, into offset printing paper, giving priority to guaranteeing the supply of paper for color textbooks in large cities.
Development trend of printing paper in China In April 1998, the China Printing and Equipment Equipment Industry Association proposed the “28-word” policy for the development of printing and equipment technology in China in 2010: “Prepress digital, networking; multi-color printing, high efficiency After printing, it is diversified and automated; the equipment is high-quality and serialized.” At the same time, the development trend of printing paper is the quantitative, high-quality and variety of paper. In the newsprint, book and paper, packaging and decorating papers, the emphasis is on improving the original. The proportion of wood in the flow and the quality of the straw to improve the paper strength, increase the opacity and enhance the surface properties.
According to reports, the Press and Publication Administration requires that the rate of development of books (including books, textbooks, pictures) and periodicals from 2001 to 2010 will increase at an average annual rate of 7%. By 2010, the amount of paper and periodicals used will be approximately 2.6 million tons. The printing paper for books and periodicals of the national news and publication planning area accounts for about 40% of the total consumption of printed paper in the country. Based on this calculation, the demand for printing paper in the country will reach 6.5 million tons to 6.7 million tons in 2010. From this we can see that the prospects of printing paper in our country are very broad.
The rapid growth of paper consumption in China With the rapid development of various industries such as news publishing, book printing, cultural information, and commodity packaging, the consumption demand for paper products in the Chinese market will grow at an alarming rate. China's paper industry growth should be higher than the GDP growth rate, and slightly higher than the average industrial growth rate. If China's future average GDP growth rate is expected to be 8%, it is predicted that it will reach 7,000 to 80 million tons in 2010. Such a huge market, if it can be met through the development of domestic production, will make papermaking and forestry become a new growth point for the development of China's national economy. Table 1 shows the forecast of market demand for main varieties in 2000 and 2010. (Table omitted)
In recent years, China's paper exports have increased rapidly. China's papermaking equipment industry has lagged far behind the paper industry. In recent years, most of the advanced equipment required for papermaking companies' technological transformation projects have been imported. In 1998, the import value of papermaking machinery reached 560 million U.S. dollars, which greatly affected the investment efficiency of China's paper industry.
In order to promote economic growth, China continued to implement a proactive fiscal policy in 1999, issuing an additional RMB 60 billion in government bonds, of which RMB 9 billion was used to support major technological transformation. The paper industry has been listed as one of the key supporting industries. In order to increase the localization level of paper supply, the State Economic and Trade Commission requested that the equipment needed for the fiscal discount technical transformation project should be based in the country, and that it must ensure the selection of technologically advanced equipment to ensure that the technical reform project implements the signing goals and promotes the equipment. Localization drives the development of the equipment industry.
China's urgent need to develop the printing and printing paper, paper, cardboard consumption level is an important indicator of a country's economic and cultural development. Our country has great market potential for paper and paperboard per capita consumption. Most domestic varieties have low quality and grades and it is difficult to meet the needs of the domestic market. In recent years, the number of imported papers of various types in China has been increasing every year. Therefore, research and development of new products, improvement of product quality and self-sufficiency rate can not only meet the needs of the domestic market, but also can save a lot of foreign exchange, with obvious economic and social benefits.
In the "Ninth Five-Year Plan" period, China's papermaking industry faces three major constraints: capital, environmental protection, and raw materials. Moreover, China's papermaking market is self-sufficient in its past, present, or future. In addition to the 5 million tons market already occupied by imported paper, there is still a gap of 6 million tons in the market supply. For this reason, international paper merchants attach great importance to the Chinese market. In the future, China will mainly develop and produce printed book and periodical papers: low-quantitative newsprint paper, low-quantity coated paper, and super-calendered paper.
